My name is Koko (Marcel) I am a Reiki Master Teacher and Asian Bio-Energetics practitioner.
My path towards Asian Philosophies and Alternative Therapies  began at the age of 16 with Karate and Yoga. Later by moving out of my parents house those early attempts became overshadoved by the sweet taste of freedom and wordly pleasures.
It was much later at the age of 37 when the excesses of my early youth started to manifest in my body in form of disease. But symptoms like getting dizzy all the time and anxiety crises, didn't seem to be important for the western doctors I visited.
As I started seeing a Chinese Doctor things started to make sense as he began to talk about imbalances created by malnutrition and destructive emotions, relieving those unpleasant sensations with lifestyle changes and acupuncture.
Later during a Detox retreat on Koh Samui (Thailand) I "accidentaly" got in touch with Reiki, taking the level 1 course that was being offered at the center.
January 2004 I started practicing Tai Chi with Martin Rapp on Koh Tao (William CC Chen 60 short form)
Later that same year I absolved my Reiki level 2 with Oda Boggaire.
It was in the year 2005 when I learned Reiki Teacher level and Asian Bio-Energetics Therapy with Cory Croymans.
These days I have a regular Yoga and Tai Chi practice and so many plans for the future.

When I give treatments I try to go to the source of the problem. First we will perform an O-ring test to determine your body's weak points, later I will ask you a lot of questions about lifestyle, food etc., specially during your first appointment. I like the patients try to find out themselves what could be the cause of the illness or problem. I also try to be compassionate in the approach to patients, making suggestions about what habits they should change, but letting them decide when it's the right time to do so. If I think that you should try another kind of treatment or therapy which I cannot provide, I will not hesitate telling you.

When I teach Reiki my main objective is that the students finish the course, without any doubts of being able to give Reiki treatments. Therefore I let them practice on themselves and on patients the different techniques we learn. I also give them at least a treatment in order to let them know what Reiki feels like.

In my work I try to stay humble and learn also from patients and students.
